According to multiple sources such as The Richest and Celebrity Net Worth, the Oscar-nominated actor has built his fortune on various high-profile projects, many of which have substantial budgets, like “Dune Part Two”.

Although he has been in the industry for a decade and has worked for various studios like Nickelodeon, his breakthrough came with some of his recent leading roles, such as portraying Elvis Presley in the biopic.

Although the exact salary was not confirmed, several media outlets reported that Austin Butler’s salary for his role as Elvis Presley in the biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann was $600,000, according to Cosmopolitan.

The casting director Denise Chamian, who was in charge of the project, spoke with Variety in 2022 and revealed how the decision was made to choose the Oscar-nominated actor for the film.

During the talk, she revealed: “I had a list of my own people. When we got to Austin, I said, ‘This is your Elvis,’ and Baz [Luhrmann, director] just looked at me”.

Austin Butler is the one who took on the role of the villain in the sequel to Dune, where he shares the screen with stars like Zendaya. According to Showbiz Galore, the actor took home $250,000 for playing Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen.

Despite his participation as one of the main roles, he did not earn the same amount of money as his fellow lead actors, like Timothée Chalamet, who portrayed Paul Atreides and earned $4 million for his performance.
