The Lincoln Lawyer has returned more refreshed than ever, and the series created by Ted Humphrey alongside David E. Kelley has just premiered ten new episodes, which belong to the third season of the legal drama.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Murder on the Orient Express) returns once again to lead the plot as Mickey Haller, who, after an accident, revives his career (and his luxury car) when he takes on an important criminal case.

The new installment is based on “The Gods of Guilt”, the fifth book in Michael Connelly‘s saga of the same name. Here, check out what the future holds for the TV show and whether it will have a fourth season on the platform…

Will The Lincoln Lawyer get a fourth season?

As of October 18, Netflix has not made any comments about a possible fourth season of The Lincoln Lawyer. However, its future looks bright in the catalog, especially considering the ending of the third installment.

Before renewing the dramatic series, the streaming giant will need to assess its metrics, impact and viewership. Currently, it is the second most-watched television show on the service worldwide.

Forbes reported that showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodríguez spoke with TV Insider about what lies ahead for Mickey in his next chapter. During the interview, the creators confessed:

We always set up sort of the next case of the season. This one won’t quite set up the next case, but it will definitely set up the next book. I think we can say this season will definitely propel us in a very exciting and personal way into a Season 4“.

Fans should really have hope regarding the thriller, as the team behind the show is optimistic. They both expressed a strong desire to adapt all the books in the series, hinting that the story could continue.

Michael hints that he’s potentially working on another Lincoln Lawyer book beyond the ones that have already been published. We don’t know that for sure. Obviously, if he is working on one, we are very eager to read it. We have plans internally for how to adapt versions of all the books“.
