Travis Kelce is not only one of the biggest stars in the NFL and the highest-paid professional football player for the Kansas City Chiefs, but he will soon add another talent to his list: acting.
Taylor Swift‘s boyfriend will make his screen debut thanks to Ryan Murphy. The iconic producer, responsible for “Glee” and “American Horror Story”, is preparing a new horror television series featuring the tight end.
“Grotesquerie” is the upcoming production that will have the athlete as one of the main stars in the first season, appearing in one of the most important episodes where he will finally become an actor.
When will Grotesquerie be released?
“Grotesquerie” is the upcoming dramatic horror series created by Ryan Murphy that will hit the screen to join his list of popular TV shows. It has been confirmed in mid-August that it will arrive on Hulu and FX on September 25.
Travis Kelce joined the cast and although he is the first prominent figure in the project to debut as an actor, he won’t be the only star participating. He will be accompanied by Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Raven Goodwin, Lesley Manville and Nicholas Alexander Chavez.
What is known about Grotesquerie?
Grotesquerie will follow a detective and a nun investigating a series of gruesome crimes that seem personal, while dealing with their own personal issues and uncovering a sinister network that raises more questions than answers.
In May, on the official Instagram accounts of @ryanmurphyproductions and @niecynash1, a first teaser was posted in which we hear the iconic actress providing a chilling voice-over. In it, she says:
“I don’t know what’s started. I can’t put my finger on it. But it’s different now. There’s been a shift. It’s like something’s opening up in the world. A kind of hole to the center of nothingness. What I saw today… they sent shrinks for everyone who worked this crime scene.
You say, ‘Well, hon, evil has always existed’, and cite some statistic about how the world’s getting better, less murder, more help, less global horror, never been a better time to be alive, hon. Come back. It’s not getting better. And I keep needing to hear your answers, because something’s happening around us, and nobody sees… but me“.
