Brittany Snow (The Hunting Wives) has officially joined the cast of The Housemaid’s Secret, the anticipated sequel to Lionsgate’s sleeper box office hit The Housemaid.

Snow joins a stacked ensemble led by returning star and producer Sydney Sweeney, along with franchise newcomer Kirsten Dunst and Paul Anthony Kelly (Love Story). Michele Morrone is also set to reprise his role as Enzo.

What to Expect From ‘The Housemaid’s Secret’

Based on the second installment of Freida McFadden’s bestselling book series, The Housemaid’s Secret picks up with Millie Calloway (Sweeney)—a secret avenger of abused upper-class women—taking on a new housekeeper position for an affluent couple in a high-rise city penthouse.

The job turns sinister when Millie is strictly forbidden from seeing or interacting with her new employer, Mrs. Garrick (Dunst). Naturally, suspicion mounts around Mr. Garrick (Kelly), setting off a chain reaction of twists, deception, and dark revelations.

Snow steps into the mystery playing a character named Marybeth, an unassuming receptionist at the husband’s company. Further plot details surrounding her role are being kept closely under wraps.

Creative Team and Production Timeline

Director Paul Feig returns to helm the sequel following the success of the first film, producing under his Pretty Dangerous Pictures banner alongside partner Laura Fischer. Additional producers include Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures and Sydney Sweeney through her Honey Trap banner.

Studio executives have indicated strong interest in adapting additional titles from McFadden’s thrillers into a broader cinematic franchise moving forward.

Brittany Snow’s Ongoing Career Surge

Snow’s casting in The Housemaid’s Secret continues an impressive run of projects across film and television. Following her standout performance in Ti West’s A24 horror hit X, the actor has built significant momentum with roles in Netflix’s Emmy-nominated limited series The Beast in Me (opposite Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys), Netflix’s The Night Agent, and Hulu’s Murdaugh: Death in the Family.

She currently stars in the hit drama series The Hunting Wives, which was recently renewed for a second season.
