While <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/tom-hiddleston">Tom Hiddleston</a> might be best known for his role as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, arguably one of his best works was for the series “The Night Manager,” released in 2016. While it was deemed as a miniseries, the show has been renewed for a highly-anticipated second season.



However, Hiddleston is not the only star that appeared in the spy <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/drama">drama</a>. The cast also included award-winning actors Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, David Harewood and Elizabeth Debicki. And behind the camera, it was directed by Susanne Bier, who won an Emmy for the first season.



Adapted from John le Carré’s 1993 novel of the same name, the series follows the journey of Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston), a former British soldier turned night manager of a luxury hotel in Cairo, who is recruited by Angela Burr, an intelligence operative played by Colman, to infiltrate the inner circle of arms dealer Richard Roper, portrayed by Laurie. <h2>Who is in the cast of ‘The Night Manager’ Season 2?</h2>



Hiddleston will reprise his role as Jonathan Pine, as well as Colman, who will return for her Emmy-nominated role of Angela Burr. The other returning cast include: Alistair Petrie (“Sex Education,” “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”) as Alexander “Sandy” Langbourne; Douglas Hodge (“Joker,” “Black Mirror”) as Rex Mayhew; Michael Nardone (“Traces,” “Rome”) as Frisky; and Noah Jupe (“A Quiet Place,” “Honey Boy”) as Danny Roper.

However, there are new additions to the cast, as well. Camila Morrone (“Daisy Jones &amp; The Six”, Marmalade”), Diego Calva (“Babylon”), Indira Varma (“Game of Thrones”), Paul Chahidi (“The Serpent Queen”) and Hayley Squires (“Beau Is Afraid”) complete the cast for now. 



<h2>What is the plot of ‘The Night Manager’ Season 2?</h2>



According to Variety, there are no details about the plot but, judging from the return of certain characters, it seems like there’s unfinished business with the inner circle of arms dealer Richard Roper. Also, BBC confirmed that the season will be written by series creator David Farr, who also wrote the first installment.

Tom Hiddleston (Loki, The Night Manager and Only Lovers Left Alive) has a new project in sight, and it’s a nature <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/documentary">documentary</a> for AppleTV+: Earthsound, the new series on the platform that was filmed in 20 countries and plunges headlong into the jungle.



It not only promises to be one of the most interesting docu-series but also the one that presents the most diversity in biomes, cultures, and species. Filmed over a thousand days spanning three and a half years, the first season consists of 12 episodes.



These episodes showcase content that technology had not allowed to be captured until now, bringing together stunning images of “our planet like never before”. According to its creators, the movements of nature have never been captured in this way before.



<h2>When does Earthsounds premiere?</h2>



Earthsounds premieres on February 23, which means it is already available for streaming on the Apple TV+ platform. Tom Hiddleston is the one narrating this natural adventure in docu-series format.

The production unveils “our planet like never before – a deafening world with unexpected and unfamiliar sonic stories that we had never been able to capture – until now”.



The series documents over 3,000 hours of audio using cutting-edge technology to record our planet in new ways, and Apple invites us to be fascinated by these Earth sounds in an innovative manner.



It is the first time that the actor who brought Loki to life in Marvel takes on narrating a documentary-style production, as previously he had only used his voice for films with different narratives, such as the animated Early Man from 2018.





Many nature documentaries have been highly successful both in terms of critical acclaim and audience reception. Interest in these has grown in recent years due to the increasing environmental awareness and the desire to learn more about the diversity of life on Earth. Apple has undoubtedly capitalized on this trend.
