Frankenstein is the upcoming masterpiece from <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a> and the acclaimed Guillermo del Toro that has the entire industry on edge. The iconic monster created by Mary Shelley is back for the Oscar-winning director’s adaptation and it is expected to be one of the most successful films of the year.



The project boasts one of the most respected and successful casts of recent years. The director and his team assembled some of the most popular stars, including Jacob Elordi, who replaced Andrew Garfield. That’s right… the young actor stepped in to replace him, as he couldn’t film due to scheduling conflicts.



It’s the first time the filmmaker has taken on this particular monster, but undoubtedly, he has more than enough experience to carry out the new adaptation successfully. We have previously seen him helm Hellboy and The Shape of Water, two of the most memorable films in the history of cinema.



<h2>Who makes up the cast of Frankenstein?</h2>



Frankenstein will be filled with familiar faces and highly acclaimed names in the industry. Three of the main cast members are Mia Goth, Oscar Isaac and the recently added Jacob Elordi. The Saltburn actor joined the project to replace Andrew Garfield, who was originally set to play the role of the monster himself.

Goth will bring to life the romantic interest of Dr. Frankenstein, so we will see her on multiple occasions sharing the screen with Isaac, who portrays the scientist. In addition to this incredible trio, many significant figures have joined the film in somewhat more secondary roles.

<h2>What will the new adaptation of Frankenstein be about?</h2>



Frankenstein has been one of the many monster movies that Guillermo del Toro has not brought to life for decades, and it’s time to remove it from the list. The incredible cast is ready to breathe life into the characters, who will once again captivate the modern audience.

The acclaimed Mexican director will adapt the iconic story for the screen, this time following Dr. Pretorius, who needs to locate the monster, believed to have died in a fire forty years earlier, to continue Dr. Frankenstein’s experiments.



<h2>When could Frankenstein be released?</h2>



The new version of the classic is another of the many films included in the agreement between Netflix and Guillermo del Toro since 2020. This agreement stipulates that the platform must produce several titles from the filmmaker, with the first being Pinocchio, which has been a success and won the Oscar for Best Animated Film.

Now, Frankenstein has joined the list. This means that the premiere will be exclusively through streaming on the platform. Unfortunately, it will not have a theatrical release. Despite this, it has not been confirmed when it will be available for streaming, but it is estimated to arrive at some point in 2025.
