<p>The series follows a diverse group of people on the autism spectrum navigate the world of romance and relationships. There are some familiar faces from Season 1, including:<strong> Dani, Abbey, Steve and James</strong>.</p>

<p>However, there are also new cast members joining the show, <strong>including Connor, Journey and Tanner</strong>. The show has been well received by critics and audiences alike, despite some criticism regarding <strong>“infantilizing” </strong>editing choices about its subjects.</p>

<p><strong>Journey, Steve and Tanner are also still single</strong>, so it could be possible that they will return for another season, <strong>if Netflix renews the series</strong>. Second season spans seven episodes, with each episode lasting no more than 40 minutes.</p>

<p><strong>Cian O’Clery</strong> created first the Australian version of the show, before bringing the format to the US. <em>“For us, it’s so important to look after the people in the show and to represent the community really respectfully,” he</em> told USA Today.</p>

<p>A group of intruders, dressed in scuba suits, disrupted the tranquility of their home in March 2015, instilling terror in both of their lives. Each of the three episodes aims to answer one question:<em> Why did the victims seem so calm? Was it all a deception?</em></p>

<h2>What is American Nightmare about?</h2>



<p>American Nightmare depicts the <strong>Gone Girl case</strong>, referring to the kidnapping and subsequent release of <strong>Denise Huskins</strong> in March 2015 in Vallejo, California. The incident was initially treated with skepticism by authorities, who thought it was a hoax or invention. However, it was later revealed to be a real kidnapping case.</p>



<p>The story involves Denise and her physiotherapist boyfriend <strong>Aaron Quinn</strong>, who were attacked in their home by a group of intruders dressed in scuba suits. She was kidnapped and held for several days before being released. </p>

<p>The couple faced suspicion and mistrust from the police, as the circumstances of the case were unusual and seemed like something out of a movie, hence the comparison with “Gone Girl”, a novel and film about a disappearance and a possible elaborate plot.</p>
