Marvel Studios has officially confirmed that Chris Evans will return as Steve Rogers in the highly anticipated ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe just delivered its biggest bombshell since the announcement of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Marvel Studios officially released the first teaser for Avengers: Doomsday, confirming that Chris Evans is officially back in the fold. While Evans recently appeared as the Human Torch in Deadpool &amp; Wolverine, this return is the one fans have truly been waiting for: a homecoming for the original Sentinel of Liberty. The teaser, which first debuted in theaters alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash last week before its official online release today, offers a poignant look at Steve Rogers. We see Rogers arriving at a serene farmhouse on a motorcycle, a wedding ring visible on his finger.



The most heart-wrenching moment comes when he packs away his iconic Captain America uniform into a chest—an act of retirement that is immediately contrasted by a new responsibility. The clip ends with Steve cradling a newborn baby, a stunning reveal that confirms he and Peggy Carter built a family during his time in the past. The footage concludes with the chillingly exciting text: “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday.”



<h2>The Road to ‘Doomsday’</h2>



Avengers: Doomsday is set to be the 39th film in the MCU and a cornerstone of Phase Six. Following the departure of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, the franchise has pivoted to a massive showdown against Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor von Doom.
