Piker was one of the first to speak about the TV show and her work, saying in a statement that nature has greatly influenced the selection of pieces and her overall music. At the beginning of her statement, she said:

In Penelope, you will encounter a rich tapestry of vocal explorations interwoven with lush string and synth arrangements, all inspired by the serene beauty of nature- the whisper of trees, the rustle of leaves, and the melodies of birds“.

Finally, she concluded by adding, “By weaving these elements into the fabric of the compositions, we sought to honor and bring to light the beautiful, yet subtle symphony of the natural world“.
