Fabien Frankel, the actor who plays Ser Criston Cole in ‘House of the Dragon,’ has limited the comments on his Instagram account after being victim of cyberbullying. Fans of the series have flooded his social media’s comment section with insults due to his role in the show.

Frankel’s character in the series has been one of the most divisive, especially as he change his loyalties from being a friend, ally and, even lover, of Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) to being one of his sworn enemies and helping Alicent (Olivia Cooke) to usurp the throne.

Not everything is bad news for the actor, as many fans also jumped out in his defense both on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). In some publications where fans can still comment, many have shared positive comments.

“Imagine harassing an actor because of a role they play… Some of you guys really need to get a life. He’s an actor doing a great job at playing a character that we love to hate. Great job, Fabien!” a user wrote under one of his posts.

From time to time, Netflix creates a Spanish production with the potential for massive viewership worldwide, and in 2024, they’ve done it again. “Gangs of Galicia” has quickly risen to the top of global rankings on the platform, establishing itself as one of the most-watched crime series in this year’s catalog.

The show revolves around Ana, a new lawyer starting afresh in Cambados, who encounters Daniel, the son of a major drug trafficker and leader of a dangerous clan.

Tamar Novas, who portrays Daniel, has captivated viewers with his mysterious yet charming performance. Here, delve into everything you need to know about him.

Tamar Novas’ age and nationality

You may have seen Tamar Novas for the first time in the recently released Netflix show, but the truth is, he has been a prominent figure in the Spanish entertainment industry for a long time. The 37-year-old actor was born in Galicia, precisely in Santiago de Compostela, and has been working since he was eleven years old.

With 59 movies and TV shows under his belt, he has already established a very solid career. At just sixteen years old, he won the Goya Award for Best New Actor for his impressive performance in Alejandro Amenábar’s drama “The Sea Inside.”

Tamar Novas’ love life

According to The Objective, Tamar Novas’ girlfriend is singer Marilia Monzón, known for her participation in the popular Spanish singing talent show called “Operación Triunfo.”

Marilia Monzón. (Source: @soymarilia)

The actor was first seen with the 24-year-old artist during the European summer of 2023. They were spotted together at a restaurant near the town of Carnota, on the coast of Coruña. Since then, they have continued to make their relationship public, and recently, Novas confirmed it with an Instagram post.

Tamar Novas’ movies and TV shows

It’s a bit challenging to select the most important films of Tamar Novas, but let’s highlight three of his best that you can find streaming in the United States.

Firstly, “Nowhere” is a drama available on Netflix, depicting the story of a pregnant woman who must survive trapped in a container in the middle of the sea after fleeing from a totalitarian and devastated country.

Another Netflix title featuring Novas is “High Seas,” a popular show in Spanish-speaking countries. It follows two sisters who uncover disturbing family secrets amidst mysterious deaths aboard a luxury ship traveling from Spain to Brazil in the 1940s.

Lastly, we recommend “Broken Embraces” by Pedro Almodóvar, considered one of his most acclaimed films. The movie follows Mateo, a film director who loses his sight and wife in a car accident in 1994. He begins a new life in darkness and voluntary amnesia, only to confront love, betrayals, and fate 14 years later. Though it requires purchase for $3.99 on Apple TV+, it’s certainly worth the investment.

If you have been on social media this week, you probably have been flooded with memes regarding Justin Timberlake’s arrest. The reported conversation between the singer and the arresting officer has officially become Internet’s lore, and an iconic pop culture moment.

Timberlake was arrested on June 18 for driving while intoxicated. The singer, according to NBC News, refused to take a chemical test, but the officer claims that he had “a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.” The Daily Night reported that Timberlake had drinked a Vesper Martini, which is “all alcohol” and “no mixer.”

However, as reported by Page Six, citing an anonymous source, the officer was too young to recognize the singer and actor, which resulted in an awkward exchange about his upcoming tour, The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which was supposed to mark his big comeback to music stardom.

‘What Tour?’ meme: The embarrassing exchange between Timberlake and the officer

According to the report from Page Six, Timberlake mumbled that his arrest was going to “ruin the tour,” to which the officer asked “What tour?” and the singer replied, “The World Tour.” As we said, now this dialogue has inspired countless memes, referencing series, movies and more. Here are some of the most liked and quote on X (formerly Twitter):

Why does the Internet dislike Justin Timberlake?

Timberlake’s arrest has showcased that the singer and actor has had a fallout with the general public. In the early 2000s, Justin Timberlake’s break-up with Britney Spears became a widely publicized scandal, exacerbated by his “Cry Me A River” music video, which insinuated Spears had been unfaithful. This narrative led to intense public shaming of Spears by media and fans. However, Spears’ memoir, “The Woman in Me,” shifted the perspective by revealing that Timberlake had been a serial cheater during their relationship and had pressured her into getting an abortion when she became pregnant.

Timberlake also faced criticism for his involvement in the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show controversy, known as “Nipplegate,” where he exposed Janet Jackson’s breast, leading to a significant public backlash against Jackson, while Timberlake faced no repercussions.

Amid growing criticism in 2021, Timberlake issued a vague apology on Instagram, expressing regret for his actions and failures to defend Jackson and Spears, acknowledging his role in their public humiliation and suffering.

Since “House of the Dragon” began airing its second season on June 16, its already well-renowned cast has been propelled to even greater fame. Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, and Olivia Cooke, who were already famous, are now worldwide stars.

For the newcomers, previously lesser-known faces are suddenly recognized by every “Game of Thrones” fan. This is the case for Tom Taylor, who plays Cregan Stark in the new season and has definitely caught the attention of many.

As the episodes air weekly and fans can’t get enough of him, there’s been a surge of interest in his previous work, especially in the acclaimed historical drama “The Last Kingdom.” Here, learn about his role in this production.

The role of Tom Taylor in ‘The Last Kingdom’

“The Last Kingdom” is a British series with five seasons and 45 episodes that began airing in 2015 and concluded in 2022. It remains available on Netflix, and it was praised for its cast performances, cinematography, writing, and directing.

Tom Taylor in “The Last Kingdom”. (Source: IMDb)

The show is set in 9th-century England, a time when the territory was divided into seven kingdoms, many of which had fallen into the hands of Danish invaders. It follows Uhtred, an orphaned Saxon who is kidnapped by the Danes and raised as one of them. Eventually, he is forced to choose between the kingdom of his ancestors and the people to whom he is loyal.

Tom Taylor worked on the production when he was only 15 years old, portraying Young Uhtred. Sadly, he appears only in the first episode, which tells the tragic backstory of the protagonist.

However, fans of “House of the Dragon” still have something to look forward to in this title: Ewan Mitchell, who plays Prince Aemond Targaryen in “HOTD,” has a more prominent role in “The Last Kingdom,” appearing in most of the show from the sixth episode of Season 2 onward.

Since portraying Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen in “House of the Dragon,” Emma D’Arcy has skyrocketed to worldwide fame. However, this was not their first time on screen or their first prominent role.

The star, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, is also known for their roles in the BBC drama “Wanderlust,” the Prime Video series “Truth Seekers,” and the recent short film “The Talent.”

In this latest project, D’Arcy worked alongside director Thomas May Bailey, who happens to be their confirmed partner. Here, learn all about him.

Nationality, filmography, and more about Thomas May Bailey

According to the personal webpage of Thomas May Bailey, he is a London-based director and screenwriter, and co-director of Second Name Productions.

Thomas May Bailey and Emma D’arcy. (Source: @emmaziadarcy)

He began working in film in 2020 after an eight-year career as a theatre director and met Emma D’Arcy in 2011. In a recent interview, he spoke about this first encounter:

“They were phenomenal when I first saw them all those years ago in 2011, and I think that even more now. […] They have the instinct for realness, for truth, for liveness. I am in awe of Emma…as always.”

Their recent collaboration, “The Talent,” was nominated for the 2023 BIFA for Best British Short. It has screened in-competition at Clermont-Ferrand, Palm Springs ShortFest, ShortShorts, Busan ISFF, deadCentre, Aesthetica Film Festival, and Iris LGBTQ+ Prize.

While the couple is not very active on social media, they never miss the chance to share photos together. Thomas Bailey, in particular, often posts about their projects and events, showing his support for Emma D’Arcy in everything from “House of the Dragon” to theatre.

All on ‘The Talent’, Emma D’Arcy’s collaboration with Thomas May Bailey

In “The Talent,” Emma D’Arcy portrays Tommy, a transmasculine production assistant who works to get coffee for the crew and cast behind a car commercial. When Tommy sees an opportunity to get noticed by the star of the production, he does not hesitate to seize it and try to follow his ambitions.

The title has been widely praised by critics, who lauded Thomas May Baile’s intention to dive into the dynamic and hectic environment of a commercial set. Emma D’Arcy has also received acclaim for their incredible performance. The “House of the Dragon” actor spoke to Deadline about how they felt about this part:

“I was really excited to play Tommy. He’s a beautifully sympathetic character, striving, fumbling, deeply self-conscious, constantly misstepping. And the size of his internal journey is sort of at odds with his environment.”

Thomas May Bailey’s most renowned play, ‘Romeo and Juliet’

Of course, we cannot talk about Emma D’Arcy and Thomas May Bailey as a couple without mentioning their trajectory on stage, where they met. Among the best projects they did together in theatre, “Romeo and Juliet” stands out the most.

Helena Wilson as Juliet and Emma D’Arcy as Romeo. (Source: Oxford Mail)

Directed by Bailey, the play premiered in 2015 at the Southwark Playhouse Theatre in south London. It’s the well-known Shakespeare story but set in the near future, with Romeo played by Emma D’Arcy. This unique setting turns the drama into a reflection on LGBTQ+ relationships.

The production was so well received by critics that it went international, playing on stages such as the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, RSC The Dell, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, and Sai-no-Kuni Saitama Arts Theatre.

Her passion for acting began at the age of five. At 13, she launched her career in the family production “Camp Nowhere,” initially hired for a two-week involvement but stepping into the main actress’s role when the first choice dropped out.

Since then, Jessica Alba has starred in some of the most successful films and series to date, accumulating an impressive fortune.

What is Jessica Alba’s net worth in 2024?

Jessica Alba has diligently worked to establish herself in Hollywood, and her efforts have paid off significantly. As of 2024, her net worth values at $100 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

While specific payment details for her performances are not disclosed, it is evident that her earnings have been substantial, especially since she starred as Sue Storm in the “Fantastic Four” franchise.

Typically, stars in superhero films command higher salaries, with estimates ranging from $800k to $10 million in the least demanding cases. However, it’s important to note that gender disparities often result in women being paid less in the entertainment industry, and this could also have affected Alba.

The Honest Company

As many are aware, Jessica Alba’s wealth extends beyond her acting career. In 2012, she founded The Honest Company, specializing in eco-friendly baby products, household goods, and body care items. The enterprise, which now employs over 275 people, generates revenues exceeding $150 million annually

Jessica Alba attends a Meet and Greet hosted by the Honest Company at Nordstrom at Ala Moana Center on DECEMBER 3, 2016 in Honolulu, Hawaii. (Source: Marco Garcia/Getty Images for Nordstrom, Inc.)

Her inspiration for starting this project stemmed from her own experiences with childhood illnesses. Alba aimed to offer alternatives to traditional baby products containing ingredients like petrochemicals and synthetic fragrances.

Within a year of its inception, The Honest Company achieved $50 million in sales. By the second year, it raised $70 million and attained a market valuation of $1 billion.

Although Jessica Alba still benefits financially from Honest, she stepped down from her role as Chief Creative Officer in April of this year. The performer announced her decision on Instagram, expressing gratitude for her twelve-year involvement.

“The Bikeriders” is poised to be one of the standout movies of the year. Based on a true story about a top motorcycle club, it boasts a star-studded cast that includes Austin Butler and Norman Reedus, among many other names.

One of the film’s highlights is Mike Faist, who portrays Danny Lyon, the photographer behind the 1967 photo-book depicting the lives of the Outlaws MC.

Fans of the “Challengers” star have been eager to know whether Faist plays a main role or has a more cameo-like appearance. Here, all the details.

All on Mike Faist’s screentime in ‘The Bikeriders’

Truth be told, reviews on this topic for “The Bikeriders” from both audiences and critics have been quite mixed. What’s clear is that Mike Faist’s screen time in the film falls in the exact point between brief and substantial.

For instance, Stephanie Zacharek from Time criticized the limited appearance of the “West Side Story” actor, noting that “the puckishly charismatic Mike Faist gets just a few minutes’ worth of screen time, sprinkled throughout the movie.”

On the other hand, some users on X who have seen the film argued that Faist’s screen time was adequate and much longer than some had claimed, nearly equaling that of the main stars.

One point of consensus is that, unfortunately, Faist’s storyline isn’t as significant to the main plot as those of Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, and Jodie Comer. In conclusion, if you’re primarily interested in watching “The Bikeriders” for Mike Faist, it’s worth your time, but it’s also important to appreciate the picture as a whole.

Here, check out who he might be dating.
" title="Antony Starr's love life: Is the star of Prime Video's The Boys single?" publication_id="SPEN#/celebrities/antony-starr-love-life">

“Just give that guy an Emmy already.” In an interview with Collider, “The Boys” creator Eric Kripke couldn’t contain his admiration for Antony Starr‘s portrayal of Homelander. And we completely agree.

Since the comic-based show premiered in 2019, Starr has become not only the flagship icon of the series but also the face of the satirical genre on television. Combining charisma with psychopathic tendencies, he has brought to life a character unlike any other.

The episode that has led Kripke to assert that Starr deserves to be awarded is the fourth of the current season, where Homelander confronts the torturous past that shaped him. Will this performance be enough to secure the Best Actor prize? Here, all the possibilities.

Could Antony Starr get an Emmy for his performance as Homelander?

Unfortunately, this won’t be a great Emmy year for Antony Starr, and it has nothing to do with his acting skills. The rules of the Emmys dictate a specific period of eligibility, and this year, “The Boys” won’t compete because its new season premiered after the eligibility window—between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.

Antony Starr in “The Boys”. (Source: IMDb)

Could he have won? Well, the competition would have been fierce. The front-runner this year appears to be “The Crown,” which has consistently been a favorite in past editions. It’s difficult to imagine Antony Starr surpassing such a strong contender, especially with Dominic West as his rival.

Additionally, he would have faced competition from Hiroyuki Sanada for his role in “Shogun.” Not only is the historical series impressive, but the Emmys might favor a showdown between the all-time favorite “The Crown” and the new Japanese series, making Starr’s chances even slimmer.

So, all things considered, Antony Starr can’t win an Emmy this year because “The Boys” missed the competition window. However, even if eligible, his path to victory would have been challenging due to the formidable frontrunners in his category. Perhaps next year will bring better prospects!

Donald Sutherland's most iconic movies and where to watch them

Donald Sutherland, the Canadian actor renowned for his roles in countercultural classics like “The Dirty Dozen,” “MASH,” and “Don’t Look Now,” has passed away at 88, his agency, CAA, confirmed, reported Variety.

Sutherland enjoyed a prolific and diverse career, also known for his performances in films such as “Ordinary People,” “Without Limits” and, for a whole generation of millennials, “The Hunger Games” saga. The cause of death hasn’t been revealed. However, Deadline reports that the actor died “after a long illness” in Miami on Thursday (June 20).

Donald Sutherland, born on July 17, 1935, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, carved a niche for himself in the world of cinema. His journey in acting began with modest television roles in the 1960s, but it was his breakthrough performance in “The Dirty Dozen” (1967) that catapulted him to fame. Sutherland’s portrayal of the rebellious Vernon Pinkley resonated with audiences, marking the start of his association with countercultural themes in cinema.

Donald Sutherland’s prolific career

Sutherland’s ability to embody complex, often unconventional characters made him a standout figure in 1970s Hollywood. Among his most memorable works we can include Robert Altman’s “MASH” (1970), where he played the irreverent army surgeon Hawkeye Pierce, and Alan J. Pakula’s “Klute” (1971), where he starred opposite Jane Fonda as a private detective.

His performance in Nicolas Roeg’s “Don’t Look Now” (1973) showcased his versatility, playing a grieving father entangled in a web of psychological and supernatural intrigue. This film, in particular, is often cited as one of his best in his early career. Despite his success in these genres, Sutherland did not limit himself, exploring a variety of roles that ranged from comedies to intense dramas, thereby cementing his status as a versatile actor.

He earned critical acclaim for his role in “Ordinary People” (1980), directed by Robert Redford, where he played a father struggling with family tragedy. His performance was widely praised for its depth and sensitivity, contributing to the film’s Academy Award success. Sutherland also ventured into biographical roles, such as in “Without Limits” (1998), where he portrayed Bill Bowerman, the legendary track coach. These roles highlighted his ability to bring real-life figures to the screen with authenticity and nuance.

His contributions to film were recognized with numerous awards and honors, including an honorary Oscar in 2017 for his extraordinary achievements. He also won an Emmy for supporting actor in 1995 for a role in “Citizen X” (HBO). He received a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.

Donald Sutherland’s family: Who are his children?

He married three times. His first marriage to Lois Hardwick in 1959 was relatively short-lived. However, it was his second marriage to actress Shirley Douglas, the daughter of Canadian statesman Tommy Douglas, that had a notable impact on his family life. They had twins, Kiefer and Rachel Sutherland, born in 1966. Kiefer became a well-known actor, starring in the television series “24” and numerous films, while Rachel forged a successful career as a film producer.
