“Penelope” is the new Netflix series that arrived on the platform this morning and has quickly become one of the most promising in its genre, especially due to its emotional story and heartfelt performances from its star-studded cast.
The coming-of-age drama, whose first season consists of a total of eight episodes, follows Penelope (played by Megan Stott), a teenager disconnected from her family, as she escapes into nature to find herself.
Mark Duplass and Mel Eslyn are the duo who created this inspiring story, which you can now enjoy in full on the streaming platform. As is the case with these productions, the music has been a great help in developing the atmosphere.

Who created the soundtrack for Penelope?
The new Netflix series features a gathering of great artists, but the music was created by Danny Bensi, Saunder Juriaans and Julia Piker. The first song on the soundtrack is “Feels Free”, which brings an emotional blend of sounds.
Piker was one of the first to speak about the TV show and her work, saying in a statement that nature has greatly influenced the selection of pieces and her overall music. At the beginning of her statement, she said:
“In Penelope, you will encounter a rich tapestry of vocal explorations interwoven with lush string and synth arrangements, all inspired by the serene beauty of nature- the whisper of trees, the rustle of leaves, and the melodies of birds“.
Finally, she concluded by adding, “By weaving these elements into the fabric of the compositions, we sought to honor and bring to light the beautiful, yet subtle symphony of the natural world“.
