Who is Axelle Saint-Cirel?
Axelle Saint-Cirel‘s presence was kept a secret until the last moment, when she appeared dressed in a costume featuring the French flag to perform a unique version of the French anthem at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The Guadeloupean mezzo-soprano singer studied for several years at the Conservatoire de Montbéliard, where she first encountered lyrical singing, which later became her choice and profession.
According to the French site Franceinfo, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in lyrical singing at the Conservatoire de Paris. Despite this, she is no stranger to the genre, as she frequently performs works by Ravel and Offenbach.
Without a doubt, this was one of the highlights of her career. Not every artist is chosen to perform the anthem at one of the most anticipated sports events of the year. Therefore, she will be remembered as one of the stars of the ceremony.
